Nick Rabar, who has spent the last decade overseeing John Elkhay\'s trend-centered restaurant group, Chow Fun, has taken a decidedly down-home approach to his first venture. The small, highceilinged space in the remodeled Rumford Center focuses almost entirely on updated old-school favorites. Reben sliders, corn dogs and chicken wings are made new with stylized details such as braised sour cabbage, chipotle ketchup and a homegrown shrimp and pork sausage. No matter how sophisticated you go on the entree, end it with the PB&J, a peanut butter bread pudding with concord grape sauce and toasted marshmallows.
