COX HUBCHEF 2 GO NICK RABAR NAMED RI HOSPITALITY ASSOCIATION CHEF OF THE YEAR

The Rhode Island Hospitality Assocaition just confirmed what many of us have known for years. Chef Nick Rabar, our own Chef 2 Go, is truly one of the state's most talented chefs.

Nick Rabar was named 2014 RI Hospitality Association Chef of the Year in a ceremony held on December 3rd at Twin River Casino. Chef Rabar attended the Culinary Institute of America and has worked in many of the finest kitchens in New York, Boston and Providence. He currently owns and operates both "Avenue N American Kitchen" and "The Pantry" in Rumford, RI along with his wife, Tracy Rabar. The couple also reside in Rumford with their three chldren.

Aside from his culnary career, Nick also hosts "Nick Rabar: Chef 2 Go" for Cox Hub. He has led the program to multiple Emmy nomnations through the years. Fresh shows from season 6 are coming to CoxHub soon. As if that was not enough, Nick has written a novel, "The Cold Side of the Grill." A folow-up is in the works.

Perhaps most importantly, Nick is one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Congratulations on a well deserved award, Chef Rabar!
